Farm Dinners

Dishing Up NJ flyer 1Join us in celebrating 10 years of cheese-making with this farm-to-fork dinner starring some of New Jersey’s finest foodsmiths, featured in author John Holl’s new book, “Dishing Up New Jersey”. The menu is headed by Chef Rennie DiLorenzo of 12 Farms Restaurant, and boasts an impressive line-up of collaborators: Muirhead Foods, Wildflour Bakery, The Bent Spoon Creamery, Zone 7, and of course, Cherry Grove Farm.

We’ll start at 6pm with a half-hour farm tour, followed by a cheese and beer tasting, hors d’oeuvres, and four-course family style dinner.

What to bring:
Your favorite beverage
A complete place setting (dinner plate, water glass, glass for your beverage of choice, fork, knife, spoon, napkin) – prizes given for the most creative setting
Your copy of “Dishing Up New Jersey” – have it signed by the author! (Don’t own the book? Purchase a copy in our farm store.)

1902 - Family purchased farm

1910 - Leased land to dairy farmer

1987 - Hamill Brothers inherit farm

2002 - Started as a family business

2003 - Started a beef herd, laying hens, and pigs

2004 - Added sheep and attained organic certification of pasture land

2005 - Added dairy herd and began making fresh cheeses like mozzarella

2006 - Built aging caves and began making aged cheeses

2012 - Grid Magazine’s Cheese of the Month (Nov – Full Nettle Jack); Finalist at the Good Food Awards (Toma)

2013 - Won 2 blue ribbons from the American Cheese Society(for Buttercup Brie and Lawrenceville Jack Reserve); Added second cheesemaker

2014 - Broke ground on additional aging space and began process of getting AWA certification for our chickens
