Cherry Grove Farm’s Cookout Sale Event – Photos & Recipes

May 22nd was our first cookout sale event, and we are proud to report the event was a huge success for Cherry Grove Farm and everyone in attendence. The event gave the public free access to come to the farm to taste our amazing farm raised whey fed pork – country ribs grilled by Frank’s Bar-B-Que, try local organic handmade toffee/sea salt caramels, dive into something new like Funnibonz Barbeque Sauce, listen to the soothing sounds of a harmonica while gazing at Cherry Grove’s lush organic pastures, and most importantly it gave the public a chance to talk to our Head Cheese Maker Kelly Harding along with his Apprentice Cheese Maker Samuel Kennedy about any and all of their cheese questions while sampling all of our fine farmstead cheeses. The event brought just about 300 people out to the farm some who have never seen our amazing farm store or our grass fed dairy herd, and some who have been friends of the farm for years. Everyone here at Cherry Grove Farm would love to thank the local vendors that came to our event and helped make it the best it could be; Charley’s Toffee, Frank’s Bar-B-Que, FunniBonz Barbeque Sauce, and Chef Marcia Willsie from Ezekiel’s Table.  Stock up for your Memorial Day celebrations by purchasing our whey fed Pork – Country Ribs at 40% off until Sunday May 29th, 2011.
