Cheese: Paneer Making & Cooking


Paneer is a fresh farm-style Indian cheese, made from cow or buffalo milk. It is a non-melting soft cheese made by curdling milk with an acid, such as lemon juice.

In this hands-on workshop you will learn how to make fresh home made paneer by curdling milk; how to press your paneer and cut it into cubes; and then how to incorporate this paneer into an authentic North Indian dish called Shahi Paneer. 




Taught by Sandeep and Nalini Agarwal of Pure Indian Foods

Sandeep and Nalini are co-founders of Pure Indian Foods. They are 5th generation ghee-makers and proud residents of Lawrenceville, NJ for the past 20 years. Ghee is traditional Indian clarified butter.

In this workshop you will be making your own paneer to take home with you. You will also take home a hand-out on how to make paneer with more paneer recipes.

As an extra bonus, Sandeep and Nalini will show you how to make a delicious mango lassi.

We will end by feasting together on: Shahi Paneer, Cumin Rice, Garlic Nan and Mango Lassi
