Great chance to take two workshops for a reduced price! Kitchen Medicine and Happy Healthy Heart.

In our kitchen cabinets we can find many herbs and spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, rosemary sage, fennel, cayenne, ginger, garlic and turmeric. We’ll learn how to use what is already in your kitchen medicine chest for common ailments like headaches, tummy upsets, sore throats, joint pain, memory, heart health, diabetes and more. You’ll make some Thieves Vinegar which you can adapt to your specific tastes and personalized health needs.

What makes for a happy heart, physically, emotionally and spiritually? We’ll learn about some tonic herbs for the heart, circulation, blood pressure, blood sugar and to balance cholesterol levels. What are the dangers of statins? How can some herbs work to lower blood pressure, alone or with pharmaceuticals? Some lovely heart herbs are rose, hawthorn, hibiscus and cayenne – do you see a pattern? Yes, they are all red! Some others are cacao, borage, linden and motherwort. We’ll make some Hearty Zen Balls, a delicious heart healthy treat which you can enjoy yourself or gift to a loved one for Valentine’s Day.
