Ingredients:
- 1 3/4 cup whole meal wheat flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 cup Cherry Grove Farm Herdsman Cheese, shredded
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 1/2 cup Cherry Grove Farm Sweet Sausage, crumbled and cooked
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Line or lightly grease muffin tins
- Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and shredded cheese in a large bowl, whisk together and set aside
- Combine egg, milk, and oil in a separate bowl, whisk together and add all at once to the dry ingredients
- Mix just until combined, the batter should still be lumpy
- Fold in the sausage crumbles
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, until tops are golden and a toothpick comes out clean
- Cool in pan for 5 minutes before removing
Great served warm, or as a road trip breakfast!
