Brunch Muffins

Yield: 12 standard sized muffins

  • 1 3/4 cup whole meal wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup Cherry Grove Farm Herdsman Cheese, shredded
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 1/2 cup Cherry Grove Farm Sweet Sausage, crumbled and cooked


  1.  Preheat oven to 375°F. Line or lightly grease muffin tins
  2. Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and shredded cheese in a large bowl, whisk together and set aside
  3.  Combine egg, milk, and oil in a separate bowl, whisk together and add all at once to the dry ingredients
  4. Mix just until combined, the batter should still be lumpy
  5.  Fold in the sausage crumbles
  6.  Bake for 18-20 minutes, until tops are golden and a toothpick comes out clean
  7.  Cool in pan for 5 minutes before removing

Great served warm, or as a road trip breakfast!
