Bird Walk

$25.00

Saturday, August 8th, 10am

Join us for a bird walk around the fields, ponds and woods of Cherry Grove Farm. We will be led by Sean Graesser, a wildlife conservationist, photographer, storyteller, and bird biologist, and Emmy, who helps lead the American kestrel repopulation project Famers for Falcons and installed kestrel nesting boxes on the farm. Sean is director and a founding member of the Wild Bird Research Group, a local non-profit whose mission is to conduct and support research and science-based conservation initiatives that benefit birds and their habitats in the Americas. As you may have noticed when you come to the farm, there are always lots of birds to be seen and heard - from teeny wrens to red-winged blackbirds, finches, swallows, herons, hawks and many more. Now we can learn more about them. The binocular brand Nocs are very kindly loaning binoculars for anyone who hasn't got their own. Wear comfortable clothes, dress appropriately for the weather, and wear good shoes for walking on a farm.

Approximately 1 hour
